Three Story Coffee has always believed that the Church should serve some of the best coffee in town. But there is a very direct correlation between the quality of coffee and a farmer's ability to earn a sustainable living. We believe, if given the opportunity, churches would love to know where their coffee comes from, who grows it, and how their purchase is supporting the farmers, families and communities that provide it.

Asking The Right (Hard) Questions

As we’ve learned more about the coffee world, there have been many hard conversations and questions that we have wrestled with for years. Has your church ever asked these questions: Why do we serve coffee? Is our coffee a reflection of who we are and what we believe? Do we know where our coffee comes from? Are we as intentional with coffee and hospitality as we are with our other areas of ministry? Is it more “loving” to build a poor farmer a house, or encourage them to grow better coffee and then partner with them to buy that coffee and give them the means and dignity of building their own house?
